Raw Almond Joy Balls

Prep Notes

You will need a food processor for this recipe.

If using raw almonds, soak and dry or buy sprouted and/or dry roast at a low temperature in the oven.

12-24 balls


3/4 cups Medjool dates, pitted

1/2 cup sprouted and/or toasted almonds

3/4 cup combined unsweetened coconut shreds and hemp seeds (divided)

2 tbsp raw cacao powder

1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder

pinch sea salt

2 tbsp warm water


If the dates are dry, soak in warm water for about 10 minutes. 

Seperate 1/4 cup from 3/4 cup of unsweetened coconut shreds and hemp seeds and reserve for topping.

Combine all ingredients (except that 1/4 cup mentioned above) in the food processor. A ball of dough should form in the food processor. If the dough is not clumping together, add another date or two or a little warm water.

Roll into bit-sized balls and roll in reserved coconut and hemp seeds.

Store in the refrigerator and enjoy!
